Love Session | Southern Maryland Photographer

Now I’d typically call this an Engagement Session but since Matt and Melissa were already married we’re calling it a Love Session! I had the honor of photographing their vow renewal ceremony but because most of the pictures they have are with their 4 kids they wanted some especially with the two of them!

1. I love reading and I haven’t made it a priority. My goal this fall is to read more and I’m starting with The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. So far so good.  Any suggestions for my next read?

2. When Ali and I went to Panera for dinner the other night and they gave her a free baguette, it was eerily similar to this scene in Aladdin!

3. New Fall Wardrobe makes me happy. I got the most comfortable skinny jean/jeggings from Forever 21 for only $15.80! I wish they had more colors in my size!

4. I don’t go to Starbucks that often but when it’s fall time and they have Pumpkin Spice Lattes I would be there everyday.

5. Hocus Pocus just gets me in the fall mood and just NEVER gets old.

Happy Friday! Hope you’re weekend is a great start to it being officially Fall! 🙂

Thrifty Thursday | Hallway Make Over

This post is being written because today is my parents 32nd wedding anniversary! Two years ago we threw them a combined birthday and anniversary party where I was in charge of getting pictures from over the years. I had so many but at the time I didn’t have these frames. So for some months after the photos stayed just on poster board. I decided last year that for Christmas I was going to redo our hallways photo collage as part of my Mom’s Christmas present.  I really wish I had a before pictures of the frames that were up from the late 80s/early 90s. I wish I had better photos than these iphone pictures but you’ll get the idea!

I got these collage frames and some more set of frames to hang and my sister and I gave the hallway a fresh coat of paint!Hallway Make Over |

With my dad help to hang them all evenly we got them all hung up before Christmas! 😉

The three center frames read “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all”, “In time of test, family is best” and the center frame holds my parents birthday, their anniversary in red, and then their children’s birthdays.Hallway Make Over |

I had more frames left over so I started another collage grouping going up the wall, that hopefully over the years will be added too.

1. I AM SO EXCITED FOR FALL! It is my favorite time of year. I LOVE the weather, clothes, halloween and all the smells. YUM!

2. Need I say anything? Donuts make any day better.

3. The faint little sailboat got to spend all the day on the bay. Was a little jealous being stuck inside all day!

4. Apparently I’m not the only one excited for Fall. Here’s 20 reasons why. (minus Homecoming because I’m now too old for that!)

5. My dog was so afraid of the thunderstorm she ran into my room and tried to hide under my vanity. She really doesn’t understand that she’s a little too big.
